Meet our Therapists!

Scott Miller, PT, MS, SCS, CSCS, CGFI
Partner/Director of Clinical Operations


Scott Miller is a physical therapist and a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist. A native to the area, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1994 and a Master of Science in 1998 from Grand Valley State University. Scott is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Golf fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Scott has been published and lectures at local, regional and national levels on various topics in physical therapy. He has continued to pursue advanced education and training in foot & ankle biomechanics, manual therapy and the McKenzie method for evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders.

Scott is an active member in the American Physical Therapy Association. Sports Physical Therapy Section, and a Board of Trustee member and secretary for the Institute of Education and Research of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association.



Christina Woytal, PT, DPT, CSCS
Physical Therapist


Christina Woytal is a physical therapist and joined the staff at Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance in November 2010. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Michigan University in 1996. Christina went on to complete her graduate studies at Central Michigan in 1999. She will graduate from University of Kansas in April 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.

Christina has spent her entire career specializing in outpatient orthopedics and sports, specializing in post-operative care and manual therapy. She has advanced training in ankle and foot biomechanics and utilizes orthotic management for various lower extremity over-use injuries.

Christina is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Michigan Physical Therapy Association, and the Western District. She has been a clinical instructor for a number of physical therapy students during her career.



Virginia Herweyer, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant


Virginia Herweyer is a physical therapist assistant and joined the staff at Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance in the fall of 2012. Virginia received her Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Kellogg Community College in 2012. Because of her dedication to excel, the faculty at Kellogg Community College awarded Virginia with the Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Award.

Throughout high school, Virginia participated in cross-country and track. Virginia’s personal interest in exercise was born during the off season. Weight lifting, yoga, walking, and biking are just a few of her favorite ways to exercise. Since staying physically active is such a rewarding experience for her, Virginia enjoys being part of the journey towards returning others to their desired level of activity.




Shannon Johnson, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant


Shannon Johnson is a physical therapist assistant and joined the staff at Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance in June 2011. She graduated from Kellogg Community College in 1991 with an Associates in Allied Health in the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Prior to starting at Agility Physical Therapy, she has practiced in outpatient orthopaedics for over 20 years. She developed the aquatic physical therapy program at HealthTRAC in Three Rivers, Michigan. Shannon has continued to pursue advanced education in manual therapy through Great Lakes Seminars, aquatics, Strain/Counter-Strain techniques.

She has done several lectures/in-services to area professionals on various topics in manual therapy and aquatics. Shannon is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Michigan Physical Therapy Association, and the Aquatics Physical Therapy Section of the APTA.

She is an avid distance runner, golfer and yoga practitioner.



Teri Richman, BS, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant


Teri Richman is a physical therapist assistant. A native to Waterford, Michigan, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science 2001 from Western Michigan University. After graduation, she worked for a local physical therapy clinic and started a Wellness Program, as well as worked as a personal fitness trainer at West Hills Athletic Club. Teri went on to graduate from Kellogg Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2004.

Teri joined the staff at Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance in November 2007. She has pursued advanced training in extremity and spinal techniques through Great Lakes Seminars, as well as training in Pilates techniques.
