Health and Arthritis. Rehabilitation Professionals’ 175
employees treat over 800 patients per day throughout its various
client contracts and 21 outpatient clinics.
Business Situation
A large non-profit Acute
Care Hospital contracted rehabilitation services from a regional,
Rehabilitation Hospital. The Acute Care Hospital’s parent
organization owned a for-profit rehabilitation subsidiary (now
Agility Health®) that was seeking to contract with
the Acute Care Hospital. The resulting competition resulted in
community leaders objecting to the unpleasantness of a decision
in either direction.
Partnering Solution
Agility Health®, Hospital management and Community leaders unified
around a mission of priority, cost effectiveness, and quality
leadership to the community. With Agility’s leadership,
an independent limited liability company with the hospitals and
Agility Health® was formed.
